Description
Set off on a curated food and wine adventure through the heart of the Atherton Tablelands in Queensland, where lush rainforests meet rolling savannah. You'll start your day at Rainforestation Nature Park in Kuranda, enjoying an exclusive treetop breakfast with fresh tropical fruits and beloved Aussie favourites.
The journey continues at Mountain Groves Distillery, where you'll sample handcrafted liqueurs, then sweeten things up with a visit to Emerald Creek Ice Creamery for homemade ice cream at a family-run gem. Next, at The Humpy, snack on just-picked tropical fruits, roasted nuts, and locally made jams and sauces right from the source.
Lunch is a highlight at Australian Platypus Park, featuring gourmet regional smoked meats like crocodile, Red Claw, and kangaroo alongside boutique Tarzali Lakes beer or lemon myrtle tea. Afterward, you'll enjoy tastings of tropical fruit wines and liqueurs before arriving at Gallo Dairyland to sample their artisan cheeses and handmade chocolates on a real working dairy farm.
Visit Mt Uncle Distillery, North Queensland's first and Australian Distiller of the Year 2017, to taste spirits made with local botanicals. Your final stop is The Platypus Hut, a tranquil hidden gem surrounded by rainforest, where you can relax with Queensland wines and craft beers before the scenic return via the breathtaking Julatten Range.
